Project Objectives

This project integrates mangrove restoration with engineered sea defense structures to provide enhanced coastal protection for the Hope Beach community.

Specific Objectives

Restore 25 hectares of mangrove forest seaward of existing sea wall
Construct permeable groynes to promote sediment accretion
Establish community-based monitoring program

Beneficiaries

The project directly benefits approximately 2,500 residents of Hope Beach and surrounding communities.
